Support, Wherever You Are

Much of our work now happens online, allowing us to support people and horses in many different places.

In-person visits are still possible in some cases. If you’d prefer to work together face-to-face, get in touch and we can talk about your location and what may be workable.

Appointment Details

Some challenges aren’t solved with quick fixes. They ask for attention, nuance and a deeper look at both horse and human. That’s what we do.

Support may include:

  • Behavioral consults (transitions to new homes, reactivity, shutdown, refusal, disconnection)

  • Whole-horse context (feed, stress, social life, subtle health cues)

  • Helping you find and assess your next horse partner

  • Coordination with your vet, farrier, trainer or bodyworker

  • Referrals when someone else may better serve your horse

How to Begin

  1. Request an initial consultation
Reach out and we’ll schedule a time to talk about your horse.

  2. We review needs together
We’ll discuss your horse’s history, environment, recent changes and the behavior you’re seeing.

  3. Clarify the right path forward
Sometimes this leads to behavioral work. In other cases, veterinary input or additional information may be the best first step.

  4. Leave with direction
You’ll come away with a clearer understanding of what may be happening and sensible next steps.

Let’s begin with a conversation

“Dr. Braganza helped me so much with my young horse. Even though she is in the States and I’m in the UAE, she took the time to understand everything… history, medical records, feeding, exercise, and training. Her advice over video calls was very useful, and she also recommended local experts. I’m very grateful.”

“Désirée is a capable teacher with a calm and direct approach. She provided indispensable help handling my two young mares (two under two) and graciously shared tools and methods for foundational groundwork. The horses enjoyed it and were willing students.”

“I highly recommend Désirée to help you navigate your next horse purchase. She worked with the veterinarian and seller to answer all of my questions and even recommended an outstanding, professional shipper for his multi-state journey. I love my new horse. He is FANTASTIC!”

Dr. Braganza is kind of like the Dr. House of horse behavior. She asked a lot of really thoughtful questions that made me look at things I hadn’t noticed before. Instead of just focusing on the obvious problem, she helped me dig into the real causes that were basically hiding in plain sight.

By the end of it, the issue made a lot more sense and I had a clear way to handle it. If you’re dealing with a tricky horse behavior problem, I definitely recommend her.
